Iran has issued a chilling new threat against US President Donald Trump’s family, with state-run media airing alleged surveillance footage of his youngest son and claiming that a multi-million-dollar bounty has been offered for killing him.

Released by Iranian news channels linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the video is titled “Where and How Should We Kill Barron Trump?” and claims to track the movements of Trump’s 20-year-old son, alleging that a $10 million bounty has been placed on him.

The video alleges that Barron Trump’s university, escort vehicles, and the positioning of his Secret Service detail have all been identified, adding that his movements are being “fully monitored” and tracked.

The latest threat is part of a yearslong campaign of Iranian warnings against Donald Trump, with Tehran repeatedly vowing retaliation since the 2020 US drone strike that killed the IRGC’s Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, at Baghdad International Airport. The Quds Force is responsible for overseeing Iranian proxies and terrorist operations abroad

Iranian officials vowed revenge after Soleimani’s killing and have repeatedly renewed those threats, with such rhetoric escalating sharply following the US-Israeli strikes earlier this year that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In July, the IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News Agency released a similar video titled “Where and How Is Melania Trump Accessible?” detailing the first lady’s movements in New York and pointing to alleged vulnerabilities in her security.

Threats against Trump have also taken a more graphic turn, with a July billboard in Tehran’s Islamic Revolution Square depicting him dead in a coffin under the words “We will kill Trump,” while another video appeared to trace the routes of his motorcade between airports and residences in Florida and New York.

Iranian officials have repeatedly cited the Islamic concept of “qisas,” or retributive justice, in their threats against Trump, arguing that Khamenei’s killing demands retaliation against whoever they believe was responsible.

In a broadcast on Iranian state television, commentator Mohammad-Javad Larijani described “qisas” as the Islamic Republic’s “inalienable right,” warning that Iran would do “whatever is in our power” to retaliate against those responsible for Khamenei’s death, with “no international legal barrier” capable of stopping it.

“If we do not carry out qisas on Trump, if we do not punish our leader’s killer, the current leader and the leaders of the Islamic Republic will always have to live in hiding,” Iranian state television commentator Mohsen Ghanbarian said during a broadcast.

US officials have repeatedly accused members of Iran’s IRGC of plotting attacks against current and former senior US officials, including former national security adviser John Bolton and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, with Tehran’s threats driving heightened security around Trump and intensifying fears that his family could be targeted as well.
